One of our clients that is internationally recognized as one of Southern Africa’s most respected manufacturers and distributors of Construction and Municipal Equipment is currently looking to fill the role of a Sales Representative.
The purpose of the Sales Representative role is to introduce, promote and sell products and services to established customers while actively seeking new business opportunities.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Marketing Diploma/Degree
Minimum 5 years’ experience with a proven track record, and/or in a similar industry
Computer literacy
Valid Code EB Drivers’ License
THE JOB DESCRIPTIONS WILL BE AS FOLLOWS (subject to but not limited)
Introduces, promotes and sells products and services to established customers.
Actively seeks new business opportunities and continually develops new customers while supporting existing customers.
Maintain sales and services within assigned territory.
Service customers in other territories only when required as a backup to colleagues as instructed by Sales Manager
Actively keep customers informed of new products – provide demos to promote new products.
Sell other services such as repairs and equipment hire to customers – assess customer needs.
Address customer complaints effectively and efficiently ensuring that after sales is maintained.
Follow internal sales processes and ensure that the company is safeguarded from high risks customers at all times.
Negotiate upfront deposits from new customers on builds, subject to discussion with Sales Manager and at the company’s discretion.
Submit bi-monthly report on customer visits and activities performed.
Submit sales projections for orders in the pipeline at month-end.
Ensure that sales targets are met.
Communicate with Sales Manager challenges that are hindering sales performance.
Assist finance department with debtors’ collections.
Comply with standards and procedures of Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
Follow all company rules and policies.
